What Makes Bross Street Different From Other Assisted Living Providers? So you have done your research and decided that assisted living is the type of provider that fits the needs of you or your loved one; congratulations! You have taken a great first step. With 19 assisted living providers in Longmont alone, you might be making a pros and cons list as you decide which facilities you might like to visit. We would like to make that task easier for you by sharing the elements of Bross Street Assisted Living that separate us from other assisted living providers. Our Historic HomeBuilt in 1890 by the first Chicago/Longmont Colony settlers, Bross Street Assisted Living is a historic landmark nestled in the Olde Town District of Longmont. This beautiful brick front home features a wrap around porch that is a favorite spot of both residents and staff. Our 6,000 square foot home features 10 bedrooms and has the capacity to house up to 11 residents. Each resident room comes with a private 1/2 bath and personal closet, you can view our floor plan here. Whether you want to paint t-shirts, do puzzles, or bake cookies, we are able to provide a kitchen, dining room, and living room for our residents to utilize as they would in an actual home. Our LocationBross Street is located in a quiet residential neighborhood between Thompson and Roosevelt Parks, is walking distance to our local Senior Center, and is located just minutes from downtown Longmont. Bross Street residents are part of a community where everyone knows their neighbors and spends time together at block parties and community gatherings. The proximity to the Longmont Creative District allows our residents to enjoy art walks, free concert series, workshops, and more hosted by the downtown community. Check out our Facebook Page for a sampling of great local events our residents have been involved in recently! A final perk is that our location is convenient for both residents looking to stay active and for family members living in the front range to be able to visit with ease. Our Community VolunteersIn addition to offering daily opportunities to participate in local events outside our home, we go one step further and bring members of the community into Bross Street regularly. Our diverse and ever expanding group of volunteers offer everything from book clubs, to yoga classes, to animal assisted therapies right here in our home. We know senior living can feel isolating, that is why we are always actively exploring new opportunities and aim to work with volunteers offering unique and engaging services. Perhaps you or someone you know has a skill to share? Find more details about our current activities on our website and feel free to reach out via the contact form at the bottom of the page. Our FoodOne of the simple pleasures in life is looking forward to a delicious meal. Bross Street Assisted Living features a new menu each week, courtesy of our culinary partners at local restaurant Samples Longmont. Our residents enjoy everything from scratch-made soups to savory short ribs created by Samples’ chefs. We like to mix it up with a variety of flavorful options based on the seasons. Curious about what’s currently on the menu? Have a look at what’s being offered this week by clicking here. The Bross Street LifestyleLaying the foundation for all of these components is Bross Street Assisted Living’s focus on supporting individuals through the Aging in Place model in our community-integrated and home-based setting. Sensitivity, respect, and understanding all shape how our qualified, certified, and dedicated staff interact with residents, thus creating a trusting and personal relationship to increase their quality of life.
